Ignatian Equipping-All-Round-Deep-Tough and Long
  • Ignatians live Chronos time with Kairos urgency.
  • The deepest meaning of Chronos time (i. e. cosmic time, the sequential passage of the instants from past to present to future) is its role as the environment for Kairos time, the time of salvation.
  • Through the gateways of the sacred liturgy (sacraments, sacramentals, and prayer of the Mystical Body of Christ)  the Ignatian is alert to the tremendous reality that his soul receives the utterly new, supernatural life-force (i.e. sanctifying grace) merited by Our Lord Jesus Christ’s life, passion, death, and resurrection.
  • Thus united to Him who said “I am the Alpha and the Omega…who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty” (Rev. 1:8), the soul is called to “press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward calling of God”  (Phil. 3:14), fighting with the “sword of the spirit” (Eph. 6:17).
  • Through this lens Ignatians view, evaluate, and measure the limited minutes, hours, and days of their earthly pilgrimage.
  • Inspired by it they make their own the sense of urgency of the apostle, “The Love of Christ Urges Us On!” (2 Cor 5:14), “redeeming the time” (Eph 5:16) to the Honor of God and the Eternal Salvation of Souls, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam My Utmost for His Highest!
