There is no better logo for the ideal of Ignatians than this Ignatian coat-of-arms: the five-fold Cross, the “M”, and the sword. Our glory is “in the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ through which the world stands crucified to me, and I to the world” (Gal 6:14); our resolve is to be chivalric priests of God through closeness to the Queen of Chivalry; and our commitment is to keep unsheathed the “sword of the Spirit” (Eph 6:17) Together, the Cross, the “M”, and the sword symbolize the Ignatian’s determination to defend and extend the Mystical Body of Christ.
